Innovation
in top form the microspectrometers |
|
An innovative
design combined with a monolithic
structure and low-cost manufacture
makes the microspectrometer
into the key component of
many customer-specific applications.
One success factor is
its high precision combined
with extremely compact
dimensions: the detection
sensitivity and optimized
stray light suppression
make it possible to achieve
a dynamic range of 10,000:1.
Added to this are excellent
stability to mechanical
stress and temperature
changes as well as low-cost
manufacturing by micro
injection molding processes.
Those results are the
best prerequisites for
use in mobile measuring
and diagnostic equipment,
as employed in point of
care applications, for
example.

UV/VIS-Microspectrometers |
|
The UV/VIS
microspectrometer is based
on a self-focusing echellette
diffraction grating and
is manufactured using plastic
molding technology. It is
equipped with a high-grade,
low-noise silicon detector
and is suitable for measurements
in the spectral range from
300 to 1050nm. It is available
as an OEM module without
electronics and as a turnkey
microspectrometer evaluation
kit. The kit contains the
microspectrometer together
with the control and read-out
electronics, light source,
power supply, software,
PC interface and all the
necessary cables.
The applications cover many
areas of analytical instrumentation,
process control, medical
technology, environmental
analysis and colorimetry.
Due to its compact dimensions,
the microspectrometer is
especially suitable for
use in mobile, battery-operated
handheld devices.

NIR-Microspectrometer |
|
One of the
main features of the new
NIR microspectrometers is
the use of dynamic InGaAs
detectors, which can operate
without active cooling.
Additional benefits are
derived from the small dimensions
and excellent price/performance
ratio.
The NIR microspectrometer
can be used for spectral
investigations in the range
from 1000-1750nm. Combined
with the evaluation electronics
and a software package,
it is supplied as a turnkey
NIR microspectrometer system.
Applications are in food
analysis, in the pharmaceutical
industry, in identification
of materials as well as
in medical diagnostics.
